"Lavenders"
After a short trip in the South of France, the artist starts
investigating art galleries between Marseille and Perpignan.
Because
of its color, its smell and its popularity, lavender seems to be the
most painted subject in the South of France. In this painting we
find a classic scene of
a
farm growing lavender, with a clear sky and dominant yellow spots that
"seals" the subject. We can also see the beginning of a new
style of
strokes inspired by Vincent Van Gogh. |
