"The Garden"
Learning the techniques of Monet was an early discovery. Then, in
the
summer of 1999, at a Van Gogh exhibition at the Los Angeles Museum of
Art, the artist was so emotionally moved by the colors and
movement of
each of Van Gogh's work in this prestigious collection--from Van Gogh's
early dark period to the more colorful later pieces--that he decided to
try
another style. "The Garden"
was inspired from a photographic picture
that creates continuity and discontinuity of colors. We find in
this
oil painting a mix of lavenders, shrubs, and a preponderance of wild
yellow daisies. |
